Evolution Leads from One Client to Four

When Danaher founders Steven and Mitchell Rales took a fishing trip in western Montana in the early 1980s, they envisioned a new kind of manufacturing company. One that would embrace the kaizen principle of rapid flow innovation and best practice processes. Their vision continues to drive the company after nearly four decades.
Initially a group of discrete manufacturing businesses, Danaher began transforming its fragmented structure into one built around strategic platforms. Each business segment; water, product identification, dental, diagnostics and life sciences; would bring sustainable competitive advantages to global markets.
The Challenge
As they began a 2009 restructure to create a culture of automation and accountability, they initiated a search for a wireless telecommunications management (TEM) provider. They needed a company that could deliver the tools and flexibility they needed to keep pace with their rapidly changing enterprise. Mindglobal won the business, following a heated competition of major TEM players, and remains Danaher’s trusted partner nearly 12 years later.
The Solution
At the start, Mindglobal worked only with Danaher, as a single client, providing end-to-end wireless expense management to all 50+ unique, operating companies. Service delivery included cost saving initiatives, asset and inventory management, complex custom reporting unique to the both the end user and administrators, and full-service 24/7 wireless help desk.
Quickly, Danaher came to trust and rely on Mindglobal, not as a vendor, but as a strategic partner that reacted quickly to provide ongoing process efficiency recommendations and measurable wireless cost control as their business evolved over the years. This holds true to each time a new operating company is formed or acquired. Mindglobal is part of the strategic transition team to ensure the wireless expense management is consistent with Danaher’s enterprise expectations.
In 2016, when Danaher announced many of its industrial businesses would be spun out to form the publicly traded company, Fortive. Mindglobal became the designated wireless TEM provider for the new holding company, providing services to its operating companies. This is just one example of many splits and divestitures that has expanded Mindglobal’ client base with Danaher.
The Result
What began nearly 12 years ago as one client with Danaher, now Fortune 500 science and technology innovator, has now evolved into four new clients and one trusted business partner with multiple unique solutions deployed. Mindglobal continues to help these customers meet their complex demands as wireless evolves, with no limits to the possibilities in the future.
